Common questions

Where is the app? There is no Dock icon.

That is on purpose — the pet is the app, and a companion that takes up a Dock slot all day is one you end up quitting. Everything is on the pet itself: right-click the pet for settings, reminders, the journal, and Quit.

How do I quit?

Right-click the pet, then choose Quit.

My pet has disappeared.

He may be behind a full-screen window — Fluffipets deliberately does not float above full-screen Spaces, so that it never covers something you are focused on. Switch back to your normal desktop and he will be there. If he is still missing, quit and relaunch; he returns to where he was.

Is he getting in the way of my work?

He should never be. He cannot take keyboard focus, and clicks pass straight through to whatever is underneath him. If you want him fully out of the way for a while, right-click him and turn on Work mode — he parks quietly in a corner and gets on with something of his own.

Can he starve or die?

No, never. He cannot be lost, cannot be harmed, and there is no penalty for leaving him alone for a week. That is a deliberate design decision.

I bought Pro but the features are still locked.

Right-click the pet → Settings → General → Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with.

My reminders did not arrive.

Reminders are delivered by the pet when he is around, and by a system notification when he is not. Check System Settings → Notifications → Fluffipets is allowed. If you want reminders to work after a restart, turn on launch at login in Settings.

Does Fluffipets send my data anywhere?

No. It has no account and makes no network requests. See the privacy policy.

Requirements
