The short version

Fluffipets does not collect any data about you. It has no account, makes no network requests while you use it, and contains no analytics, telemetry, tracking or advertising of any kind. Nothing about you or your Mac is ever sent anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to be sent.

What Fluffipets stores, and where

Fluffipets keeps the following on your Mac, inside its own sandbox container, and nowhere else:

• Your pet's name, chosen character, and adoption date
• Its happiness, energy and hunger values
• Your settings, including sound, scale and behaviour preferences
• Any reminders and alarms you create
• A local activity journal — when you played with, fed or stroked your pet — used to draw the charts in the Journal panel

All of it is readable only by you and by Fluffipets. Deleting the app deletes all of it. None of it is transmitted, backed up to us, or shared with anyone.

Window information

So that your pet can climb on your open windows, Fluffipets asks macOS for the position and size of visible windows. It reads geometry only: it does not read, store or transmit window titles, window contents, application names, or anything on your screen. It does not record your screen. This information is used for the current animation frame and immediately discarded.

Notifications

If you create a reminder, Fluffipets asks for permission to send notifications, so that your reminder still reaches you when the app is not running. Notifications contain only text you wrote yourself. They are never used for marketing.

Purchases

Fluffipets Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see, receive or store your payment details, your Apple Account, or your name. Fluffipets checks whether you own Pro using Apple's on-device StoreKit records. This is the only reason the app is capable of any network access at all.

Children

Fluffipets is rated 4+ and is safe for children. Since it collects no data, it collects no data from children either.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date. Fluffipets's design commitment is that it stays offline, so material changes are not anticipated.
